Nicoletta, Fabio and Marco are the faces and hands behind this small farm in northern Piemont, on which they work tirelessly to conserve the tradition and the skill of growing rice in Italy’s “rice chamber”.
Given the difficult circumstances of rice production (water paddies), they are following traditional agriculture, but use eco-compatible production methods, employing only the softest treatments in the most limited amount possible. Their rice is transformed by a trusted “riseria”, polishing the rice only briefly in a purely mechanical process, in order to maintain the nutritious values carried in the skin. No chemicals or additives are used to polish the rice.
The Scrumptious Pantry proudly brings their Carnaroli rice – King of risotto – to the US.
