Description: The tomatoes for this spread were grown in the sunny hills of northern Tuscany. When they were perfectly ripe, Roberta and Giulio hand-picked them, selecting only the best tomatoes to be dried under the hot Tuscan sun.
The dried tomatoes were then finely chopped up and mixed with some oregano, a hint of chilli peppers (Roberta’s signature ingredient. She has a weakness for chilli peppers and has planted a breathtaking variety of them) and their very own extra-virgin olive oil. All these added ingredients were grown on their small organic farm – they do not add anything to their spreads that is not produced by themselves.
You can taste this dedication to quality in this spread full of sunny flavors, which is great on crostini, but is also a very versatile pantry item: mix the sun-dried tomato spread with cream cheese for a dip, whisk it in eggs for a tasty omelet or use it to deepen the flavor of your next tomato sauce – a small tablespoon will do, cause the flavors of this spread are so condensed!
